These are the theses of presentation to the panel titled ‘Drivers of Instability in Central Asia: Absence of Pluralism and Accountable Governance,’ which was held as part of the Warsaw Human Dimension Conference 2023. The aim of this presentation is to illustrate how the lack of freedom of association and assembly, along with the absence of political pluralism in Uzbekistan, has a detrimental impact on its political stability and development.
